Bluefin Tuna Action in the Mediterranean
An aerial view of the Greenpeace ship Arctic Sunrise and the Tunisian support vessel Majd, during a non-violent action to release highly-endangered bluefin tuna from a cage. The cage was being pulled by a Tunisian tug boat to a tuna farm where the fish will to be fattened up and sold. Greenpeace is in the Mediterranean to take action against the bluefin tuna fishing fleets and to promote Marine Reserves.

The Greenpeace ships MY Rainbow Warrior and MY Arctic Sunrise are is in the Mediterranean sea to highlight the destruction of tuna stocks, to call for an end to bluefin tuna fishing and for spawning grounds to become protected areas. Greenpeace is campaigning for a network of Marine Reserves throughout the Mediterranean.
