Police End Blockade in IJmuiden
Police remove Greenpeace activists from the 142m long PFA fishing vessel Margiris in the harbor of IJmuiden. Greenpeace activists have chained themselves to the anchor chain and stayed there for almost one week preventing the Margiris from leaving IJmuiden port. UPDATE: In late 2012, the Margiris was renamed 'Abel Tasman.'

Politie beeindigt Margiris blokkade actie in IJmuiden
De politie heeft een einde gemaakt aan de blokkade van de 142 m lange PFA super trawler Margiris. Greenpeace actievoerders verhinderen de Margiris om IJmuiden te verlaten. Zij hebben de ankerketting bezet en hangen daar sinds woensdag 27 juni. Op dinsdag 3 juli werd de actie door de politie beeindigd. Schepen zoals de Margiris vangen zulke gigantische hoeveelheden vis dat de lokale visserij ter plekke in gevaar wordt gebracht.
