Activists and volunteers from Greenpeace and several other organizations protest against brown coal mining by forming a human chain in the streets of Berlin. They also ask people to join the human chain activity against brown coal mining planned for the 23rd August in the Lausitz (Lusatia) region. The Swedish energy company Vattenfall plans to start with new open pit mining in Welzow Sued II in the Lausitz region.
