Greenpeace activists have blocked truck access to the Valdemingómez landfill in Madrid, protesting against the massive use of single-use plastic and its poor management. Next to the landfill is the incinerator plant of the same name, where many plastic containers also end.

The activity is part of the Greenpeace campaign "Maldito Plástico" which claims that only 25% of plastic containers are recycled, the rest being contaminated in landfills, incinerators, environment and export.
