As part of the Global Commemoration Anniversary Bhopal Disaster, about 100 people remember the Bhopal disaster at a demonstration in front of the European headquarters of Dow Chemical in Horgen, Switzerland.
The world's worst chemical disaster happened 18 years ago in Bhopal, India. With torches and banners reading "We demand justice in Bhopal - DOW! Clean up Bhopal NOW!" they awaited the 550 employees of Dow before the entrance. The Bhopal memorial is held worldwide, including countries like India and the USA. Greenpeace will not let loose until Dow - the legal successor of Union Carbide - will finally take responsibility. The demonstration was completed with the performance "Red responsibility" of the Swiss artist duo Sabina Thomas Hauck and Kaeser ("DAS ARCHIV"). The performance art addressed the involvement of the manager of Dow with Bhopal.
