'Arctic 30' Solidarity Protest in Paris

Greenpeace supporters, NGO representatives and local citizens show support for the Arctic 30 by spending time inside a mock prison cell in Paris. The 'Arctic 30' (28 Greenpeace International activists plus a freelance photographer and freelance videographer) are currently held in a Murmansk detention centre for over a month following a peaceful protest at Gazprom’s Prirazlomnaya platform in the Pechora Sea. Russian authorities say they are replacing piracy with a charge of hooliganism, punishable by seven years in prison.
