The banner reads "Autoindustrie: Erst Klimaschutz verpennen, dann Steuergeld verbrennen" which translates into "car industry: first oversleeping climate protection then burning tax money". The Ballhausplatz is located in front of the Chancellor's Office, where a car summit takes place that day (in Austria the Chancellor is the head of state). Greenpeace demands that the possible financial support being given to the car industry is tied to conditions in terms of energy efficiency as well as climate-friendly mobility. Date:8 Jan, 2009Credit:© Greenpeace / Kurt PrinzMaximum size:2848px X 4288pxKeywords:Actions and protests-Banners-Cars-Climate (campaign title)-Day-Government buildings-Governments and Government organisations-Greenpeace activists-KWCI (GPI)-Outdoors-Props-Small group of people-Street theatre actions-Theatrical costumesShoot:Action at Car Summit in ViennaGreenpeace activists, dressed up as representatives of the car industry, protest at the Ballhausplatz- square in Vienna by burning fake banknotes in an open fire.
