Actions in the Białowieża Forest in Poland
A few dozen activists from all over Europe blocked a transport of trees from Białowieża Forest in Poland. Activists blocked the truck stuffed with trees and convinced the transporting company to unload and leave the trees in the forest for natural decomposition.
Such transports are against European law - the Court of Justice of EU decided that not only trees from the Bialowieza Forest should not be logged but also not removed from the forest, even if logging was made legally.
