All Eyes on the Amazon - Solidarity Protest in The Hague
Greenpeace together with other environment and human rights organisations supports Indigenous Peoples and local communities in the Amazon in their fight against deforestation and their struggle to achieve their guaranteed land demarcation and land rights, in the All Eyes on the Amazon project. Protected Indigenous Lands are proven to be the best measurement against deforestation.
Activists gathered in front of the Brazilian embassy in The Hague to show support with the Indigenous People of the Amazon. At the same time, the Indigenous Peoples of Brazil (in 2018 it was over 3000 people) gather in their National Indigenous Mobilisation Week (April 24-26).
