The environmental organization protests against the intentions Shell has to start drilling in the Arctic. Greenpeace states: Shell tries to pump the last drops of oil out of the earth; in the middle of a city this is not acceptable but in the fragile Arctic region it is not a problem. The neighbours of the town hall were informed by a letter about these plans of the oil company. Later in de middag maakt Greenpeace zichzelf kenbaar en rolde een spandoek uit: ‘Als hier olie zat, zou Shell boren.’Locations:Europe-Netherlands-WassenaarDate:18 Jul, 2013Credit:© Greenpeace / Cris Toala OlivaresMaximum size:3500px X 2333pxKeywords:Actions and protests-Climate (campaign title)-Climate change-Day-Greenpeace activists-Hammers-Hard hats-KWCI (GPI)-Logos-Offshore drilling-Oil (fossil fuel)-Oil (Industry)-Oil drilling-Outdoors-Props-Shell (commercial business)-Signs-Small group of people-Street theatre actionsShoot:Arctic Oil Drilling Action in the NetherlandsThe inhabitants of the city of Wassenaar near the Hague witness Greenpeace activists act out test drilling activities of oil company Shell in the front yard of the town hall.
