Bald Eagle in Canadian Boreal Forest
Bald eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus).
Although this bird is a symbol of the United States, most of their breeding range is found in Canada. Female birds have the same plumage as males but are significantly larger. They can return to their nests year after year continually adding to their size. However once a nest is abandoned it can be taken over by great horned owls.
