Local people, from the UKPWR Society representing Ujungnegoro, Karanggeneng, Ponowareng, Wonokerso, and Roban, are especially angry at the loss of access to their rice fields because of fencing erected around the power plant. The consortium behind the plant, PT BPI (Bhimasena Power Indonesia) put up the fencing two weeks ago, denying farmers access to land which has been allocated for the expanded power plant – including land which has not been sold by the farmers.Related Collections:Batang Residents Protest against Coal Power Plant in Central Java (Photos & Videos)
