Clean Air Now Action in Bucharest

14 Greenpeace Romania activists cycled in front of the City Hall of Bucharest to raise awareness on the current situation of alternative transportation in Bucharest, namely demanding that measures be taken to increase the number of bike lanes and to improve cycling infrastructure altogether in the city, one of the most polluted cities in Romania and one of the most polluted capitals in the EU. Despite local authorities having promised an extension of 30 km finalized by 2018 and of 100 km by the end of 2019, Bucharest now has only 6 km worth of bike lanes.
