Cleaning CO2 Slogan on Hemwegcentrale

On the 3rd of april Greenpeace activists painted the slogan 'Stop CO2' in huge letters on the chimney of the Hemwegcentrale power plant. One day later Greenpeace received a damage claim of two million guilders from energy production company UNA for damage done to the 185 meter long chimney. The slogan was removed on april 5th and was paid for by Greenpeace.

Op 3 april hebben activisten van Greenpeace de leus 'Stop CO2' op de schoorsteen van de Hemwegcentrale geschilderd. Een dag later ontving Greenpeace een schadeclaim van twee miljoen gulden van het energiebedrijf UNA. De leus werd op 5 april verwijderd, de kosten zijn door Greenpeace betaald.

They painted the slogan 'Stop CO2' in huge letters on the chimney and activists chained themselves to the plant. One day later Greenpeace received a damage claim of two million guilders from energy production company UNA for damage done to the 185 meter long chimney. According to UNA scaffolds have to be used to remove the slogan. The slogan was removed on April 5th.
