Actievoerders van Greenpeace beklimmen de schoorsteen van de kolencentrale 'Hemwegcentrale'. Ze schilderen er in gigantische letters de leus: STOP CO2 op. Activisten hebben zich vastgeketend aan de centrale en moesten door de BraTra (Brand en Traangas eenheid van de politie) worden weggehaald met slijptollen.
Een dag later kreeg Greenpeace een eis tot schadevergoeding van twee miljoen gulden ontvangen van het energieproduktiebedrijf Una voor het beschadigen van de ruim 180 meter hoge schoorsteenpijp van de Hemwegcentrale in Amsterdam. Volgens het energiebedrijf moet de hele pijp in de steigers om de leuzen die Greenpeace er maandag op schilderde, weg te halen. Verder boorden de actievoerders gaten in de pijp. Op 6 april is de leus verwijderd.

One day later Greenpeace received a damage claim of two million guilders from energy production company UNA for damage done to the 185 meter long chimney. According to UNA scaffolds have to be used to remove the slogan. The slogan was removed on april 5th.
