Locations:Europe-France-ParisDate:9 Jul, 2020Credit:© GreenpeaceLatitude:48°51'4.12"NMaximum size:4000px X 3000pxLongitude2°21'1.75"ECopyright Valid Until: 09 July, 2025Keywords:Actions and protests-Aerial view from UAV-Banners-Cathedrals-Cities-Climate (campaign title)-Climbing actions-Construction sites-Day-Greenpeace activists-Iconic Landmarks-Industrial cranes-KWCI (GPI)-Non-violent direct actions-Outdoors-Photo opportunities (action tactic)Shoot:Climbing Action over Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris - Aerial viewsGreenpeace France activists climbed up the crane close to “Notre Dame" - the highest crane in Europe - to deploy a 20 meters long banner with the message "Climate : act now". Simultaneously, a climber rappeled below the crane, holding a hand banner stating "Macron : Notre Drame". A very subtle wordplay, as "Notre Dame" = the name of the building and if you just add an "r", "Notre Drame" = our drama). We're urging Emmanuel Macron, the French President, to really fight against climate change instead of just repeatedly making empty promises.Related Collections:Climbing Action over Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris (Photos & Videos)
