Confronting Arctic Oil - Swimmers Protest
The third day of protest against the seismic vessel Akademic Lazarev by Greenpeace continues in the Barents Sea with swimmers Daniel Rawer from Germany and Georgy Timofeev from Russia. The swimmers unfurl a banner attached to a buoy that reads 'Save The Arctic' next to the Rosneft contracted vessel. Shots include soundbite from Campaigner Christy Ferguson. The Greenpeace ship Arctic Sunrise will continue patrolling the Russian Arctic in an effort to expose and confront Russian oil company Rosneft and its western partners like Exxon Mobil, Statoil and BP, who are preparing to drill in the region.
