Evacuation centre in Nihonmatsu
Cars dot the parking lot of an evacuation centre in Nihonmatsu. The centre is currently home to residents from many villages inside and out of the 20km evacuation zone surrounding the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant. Contamination levels in many villages in this area are significant, making it unlikely any residents can return home in the short term, and possibly ever.
