A global week of action was organized by the Fight Inequality Alliance to highlight the growing gap between the rich and the poor. In the Philippines, national movements, people's organizations, non-government and civil society groups held an assembly and concert at an impoverished community in Intramuros at the heart of the country’s capital, Manila. The venue was handpicked by the organizers for the proximity of extreme poverty to influential institutions such as the Comelec, the labor department, Manila Cathedral, the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines, Manila Hotel, the National Press Club and the Intramuros Golf Club.Locations:Asia-Manila-Metro Manila-Philippines-Southeast AsiaDate:19 Jan, 2019Credit:© Jilson Tiu / GreenpeaceMaximum size:6415px X 4277pxKeywords:Actions and protests-Banners-Concerts-Crowds-KWCI (GPI)-People-Poverty-Public engagementShoot:Fighting Inequality Concert in the PhilippinesIn the Philippines, national movements, people's organizations, non-government and civil society groups held an assembly and concert at an impoverished community in Intramuros at the heart of the country’s capital, Manila.
