It will be towed to the Northern Russian port of Murmansk, where it will be loaded with nuclear fuel and tested. It is planned that in 2019 it will be towed through the Northern Sea Route and put to use near Pevek, in Chutkotka, to power the town, the port and fossil fuel extraction. Greenpeace struggles to stop Rosatom’s irresponsible project in the Arctic and to prevent its replication in other parts of the world.Locations:Eastern Europe-RussiaDate:20 Apr, 2018Credit:© Denis Lopatin / GreenpeaceMaximum size:3796px X 2886pxKeywords:Destruction-Graphics (Record Type)-KWCI (GPI)-Nuclear (campaign title)-Nuclear power stations-Rosatom Nuclear Energy State Corporation (Rosatom)Shoot:World’s First Purpose-built Floating Nuclear Power Plant IllustrationsCartoon images by Russian artist Denis Lopatin depicting 'Akademik Lomonosov', the world’s first purpose-built floating nuclear power plant, owned and operated by Russian state energy company Rosatom.Related Collections:World’s First Purpose-built Floating Nuclear Power Plant bound for the Arctic (Photos & Videos)
