Decades of forest destruction and drainage of peatland by the pulp and palm oil sector – including members of the Roundtable on Sustainable palm oil – have created the conditions for these fires. Greenpeace calls for the RSPO and all pulp and palm oil producers to implement a ban on deforestation and peatland development.Related Collections:'Protect Paradise' Palm Oil Campaign - Feature SelectionPalm Oil Companies Must Accept Responsibility for Indonesian Fires (Photo + Video)Fajar Suryadi Family in Sumatra (All Photographers)
