Island is the story of a boy, a girl, an ice-bear and keeping the Arctic frozen. Originally a play for young people at the National Theatre (Powerful, moving drama - The Independent), Nicky Singer has re-written the story as a novel with illustrations by Children’s Laureate and political cartoonist, Chris Riddell. Chris has generously pledged to donate all his proceeds from the book to Greenpeace.
