Greenpeace hosts a kayak training in Wilmington, North Carolina to teach participants kayak safety, basic maneuvering, and potential uses and roles for on-water direct action.

Kayaktivism is on the rise as a creative resistance technique. The training was a part of the Arctic Sunrise's a month long tour along the Atlantic Coast in the United States. The tour focuses on the urgent issue of single-use plastics and microplastics in our waters, and the need to protect our coasts and climate from seismic blasting and offshore oil drilling.
