Marion Cotillard in Antarctica
Actor Marion Cotillard laughs while taking water for microfibre sampling from a rhib in Paradise Harbour, Antarctica.
Greenpeace is sampling Antarctic waters to identify the presence of microfibres, plastic particles released from synthetic clothes when they are washed. Despite being a remote and near pristine environment, the Antarctic is suffering more and more from the impact of far reaching human activities.
Greenpeace is back in the Antarctic on the last stage of the 'Protect the Oceans' Expedition. We have teamed up with a group of scientists to investigate and document the impacts the climate crisis is already having in this area.
