Martín Brogger on the MY Esperanza in the Argentine Sea

Martin Brogger, marine biologist at Ibiomar Conicet, works with a TOW underwater device to explore the bottom of the Southwestern Atlantic Ocean.
On board the ship MY Esperanza, within the framework of the Campaign for the Protection of the Oceans, Greenpeace together with Martín Brogger arrive at the area known as Blue Hole - at the limit of the exclusive Argentine economic zone - in the South Atlantic and take pictures of the seabed.
It is the first documentation of the devastation of the sea floor in this area, as a result of overfishing and the lack of control and regulation of international waters. Instead of recording a variety of species, sponge fields or coral reefs, the cameras showed desert soils, garbage and dead starfish.
