The farmer has suffered loses due to contamination of his organic crop which can fetch up to three times the price of GE papaya but only if un-contaminated.The Hawaiian and Thai Governments and industry need to pull back from this economically, environmentally, and export-damaging technology. They need to look closely at the evidence provided from both regions and then move towards supporting and nurturing the conventional and organic papaya growers upon whom, ultimately, the burden of GE contamination will fall.http://www.greenpeace.org/international/en/news/features/aloha-ge-papaya/Related Collections:GE Papaya in Thailand and Hawaii (Photo & Video)
