Red Carpet Four Release from Prison
Juan A Lopez de Uralde, Executive Director of Greenpeace Spain, is greeted by supporters. He is one of four Greenpeace climate protesters (‘Red Carpet Four’) released from custody after twenty days of pre-trial detention in a Copenhagen prison following a peaceful protest staged on the evening of 17 December. The four activists were arrested following a peaceful protest at the start of a State Banquet hosted by Queen Margrethe II for world leaders attending the COP15 UN Climate Conference.

Four Greenpeace climate protesters (‘Red Carpet Four’) are released from custody after twenty days of pre-trial detention in a Copenhagen prison following a peaceful protest staged on the evening of 17 December. Their release comes a day in advance of their detention being reviewed by a Danish judge. The four activists still face trial in the Danish courts, and possible prison sentences. The four activists are from the Netherlands, Norway, Spain and Switzerland, and were arrested following a peaceful protest at the start of a State Banquet hosted by Queen Margrethe II for world leaders attending the COP15 UN Climate Conference.
