The 10-rai rice field in Ratchaburi province will grow into a beautiful art in the next 4 months to show an image of farmers wearing straw hats and using sickle to harvest rice. The rice art, which celebrates Thailand's rich rice heritage, is meant to remind governments to protect the region's most important food crop from the imminent threat of genetic engineering, as well as from the grave impacts of climate change. The shoot includes images of organic rice fields and the preparation of organic rice noodles.
