Outrun the mine".Since 2018 Greenpeace Bulgaria and FoE Bulgaria (Za Zemiata) have been supporting the struggle of farmers and the Municipality of Slivnitsa against the opening of a lignite mine, less than 50 km away from the capital of Bulgaria.Despite the objections during the assessment of the environmental impacts of this project, the company received the right to mine the area in 2018.
