The Russian coast guard replied instead, ordering the Arctic Sunrise to stop its operations and announcing that they intended to board the ship for inspection. The captain of the Arctic Sunrise responded, repeatedly stating that according to the law of the sea it would be illegal for the Russian coast guard to board the ship without invitation.Locations:Kara Sea-RussiaDate:26 Aug, 2013Credit:© Will Rose / GreenpeaceMaximum size:5616px X 3744pxKeywords:Binoculars-Day-Greenpeace crew-Indoors-KWCI (GPI)-Men-MY Arctic Sunrise-One person-Save the Arctic (campaign title)Shoot:Confronting Arctic Oil TourThe MY Arctic Sunrise is in the Arctic to expose and confront Russian oil companies like Rosneft and their Western partners like Exxon Mobil, Statoil and BP, who are preparing to drill in the region.
