Sea Level Rise in India
A high tide invades Satjellia island inundating rice pads and leaving many homes surrounded by water. That is a difficult reality for the people of the Sundarbans where big portions of the river bank have not been rebuilt yet. Scientists estimate that over 70,000 people, living effectively on the front line of climate change, will be displaced from the area due to sea level rise by the year 2030.
