Students from the University of Cebu and University of Visayas have their faces painted with a shark design, to signify their call to save the sharks in front of the Cebu Provincial Capitol. Greenpeace, shark enthusiasts and other stakeholders gathered at the Cebu Provincial Capitol to show their commitment to protect and save sharks. The groups urge for the state’s immediate protection of sharks and rays, specifically calling for the amendment of the 2009 National Plan of Action for the Conservation and Protection of Sharks.
