Shell Bridge Blockade in Portland
A fire and rescue climber rappels from the St. Johns Bridge to remove one of 13 activists who climbed under the bridge In an attempt to prevent the Shell-leased icebreaker MSV Fennica from passing under the bridge to join Shell's Arctic drilling fleet. Police removed 3 of 13 activists from the bridge to make room for the ship to pass. The others descended on their own power after the ship had gone.
