Shell's Polar Pioneer drill platform arrived in Seattle's Elliot Bay, after being carried aboard a transport ship from Malaysia to Port Angeles and offloaded. Shell's drilling equipment is being staged in Seattle before being sent to the Alaskan Arctic for oil exploration. The presence of the Arctic drilling equipment has become the focus of protestors on land and in the waters of Elliot Bay where kayak activists have formed mass protests.
