“We sailed from Punta Arenas, Chile through the Strait of Magellan. After that we
sailed to Staten Island and then we crossed the Drakes Passage to South Shetland
Islands.
That is roughly 500 miles and takes around two and a half, maybe three days if the
weather is bad and you have to go slow.
And from here we will go north again to the Antarctic sound and pass into the
Weddell Sea which is this part of the ocean.”
