Thanks to recent amendment to the RES (renewable energy sources) bill, public entities can become prosumers (both producers and consumers) of energy from renewable sources, and schools in Bieżyce, Chlebowo, Czarnowice, Grabice, Starosiedle, Strzegów, and Brody are among the first public buildings in Poland to have taken this opportunity. On September 2016 all solar power systems installed on the schools’ rooftops were connected to the grid.
