He quitted his job in the county government when he saw that the region was facing the great danger of losing invaluable rice species. Afterwards he started the “Farmers Cooperative Working with Oxen” to restore the ecosystem in the rice fields by planting over 60 different kinds of rice. Now the Farmers Cooperative has incorporated over 800 farmers practicing ecological farming methods such as rice-fish-duck system and using oxen to plough.
