A glacier terminating on rocks just to the south of the Alkefjellet guillemot colony on Svalbard. Meltwater runs into the sea in summer, the mix of fresh water and salt water, plus the introduction of minerals from the glacier kickstarts a 'fertilisation' process that feeds life in the sea.
