Taifeng Mining Company’s Ore Washing Plant in Hunan Province, China

One of the ore washing plants of the Taifeng mining company, located in the Huoyantu village. Toxic additives, such as xanthate, copper sulfate and black powder, are used in the plant. The sewage of the plant is discharged in the surrounding hills, creating huge tailing ponds and polluting the area with chemicals and toxic waste.
