University Solar Array in Colorado

Chimneys of a coal-fired power plant rise above an array of photo voltaic solar panels at the University of Colorado. Comprised of more than 2,000 panels, the system has the capacity to produce 500 kW of electricity, enough to power 100 homes. It is expected to produce 750,000 kWh per year. The University of Colorado is pursuing a long term goal to achieve carbon neutrality.
