West African small-scale Local Fishermen in Senegal

In this set of photos, we visited Joal Fadiout, the largest fishing port in Senegal and went on a local pirogue to showcase one day’s routine, from sunrise to sunset, of a group of African small-scale/artisanal fishermen. From this panoramic display of fishermen's daily life, we also depicted how industrial fishing activities and backward local fishery management have resulted in the deterioration of local fishermen’s living conditions and natural resources.
