White-tailed Deer in Canadian Boreal Forest
White-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus).
The eating habits of these grazing herbivores have a huge impact on plant life in an ecosystem. They are shy and nervous of predators, can run 75 kilometres per hour and are known to jump lengths of up to 10 metres. They are most active at night, but can be active in the day time.
