Women Choose Life No Coal in Turkey - Web Video (Turkish Version)

Greenpeace Med together with local organiser Işıl Su Erdoğan, realise a project to bring Turkish women's struggle from Yenice, Çanakkale, Soma, Yırca and Karabiga to public attention in Turkey and abroad.

They are protesting against the coal industry expansion.
The first coal power plant has already taken over farm land where farmers used to grow and sell walnuts, making a living. The coal industry has destroyed the livelihoods of many farmers and because of coal many suffer of health problems like asthma.
The women started to march in protest, then they were followed by the men. They oppose the construction of new power plants and don’t want anything related to coal.
