Cork Protest at Deuben Coal Power Plant in Germany - News Access 1/2
One hundred Greenpeace activists protest against the climate damaging coal policy of the German government. Environmental activists from Germany, Sweden and Czech Republic display a banner at the 80 metres high chimney of lignite power plant Deuben, the oldest coal fired power plant in Germany and place a symbolic cork on the top of the chimney. The coal power plant dates back to 1936 and is run by MIBRAG, a daughter of the Czech EPH company.
