65 Hour Long Protest in Hungary
Excuses don’t solve the climate crisis - says the banner, held by scientists, artists and activists, during a 65 hour long action in Budapest, Hungary. Greenpeace is protesting in front of Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s office, the former Carmelite Monastery in Budapest’s castle district.
Activists and key influencers pass the banner in an hourly rotation during the three-day event. 65 is a significant number; pollutant emissions must be reduced by 65% until 2030, to avoid a climate and ecological crisis. Greenpeace urges Prime Minister Orban to vote in favour of this percentage, during this week’s meeting of the European Council in Brussels.
