Sinking Mosque in Jakarta
Kids swim near the abandoned Wal Adhuna mosque that is sinking due to the tidal floods for years, in Muara Baru area, North Jakarta. The Wal Adhuna Mosque and some buildings in this area were sinking for years and abandoned by people after the area was finally blockaded by a giant sea wall to protect the area from tidal floods. Muara Baru is one of the areas in North Jakarta that almost sinks regularly due to tidal waves as the sea level has increased.
