Greenpeace Austria stages a protest with 100.000 plastic bottles - compressed into bales forming a mountain - at the iconic landmark St. Stephan's cathedral square in the city centre of Vienna, to raise awareness on the harmful environmental impacts of single-use bottles.
Greenpeace demands the Austrian government to end single-use culture by implementing a deposit scheme on all drink bottles and containers and by introducing refillable bottle systems.
