June 3 / World Bicycle Day: Greenpeace Romania is demanding the extension of bicycle lanes network in Bucharest with at least 100 km until 2022, drawing attention to the insufficient current cycling infrastructure in one of Europe`s most polluted cities, and to the urgent need to re-think and re-plan the urban mobility system into one that is clean, sustainable and accessible to all. We used this occasion to also hand in our petition for clean air to the Mayor of Bucharest, Nicușor Dan, signed by more than 15.000 people.
