Coral Bleaching Investigation in South Taiwan
The temperature of sea waters has continued to rise since May in southern Taiwan. It was reported that corals in some areas had bleached. This is a documentation that records coral bleaching at three diving sites in Kenting in southern Taiwan in August this year, including 5, 10 and 18 meters of depth. The ocean temperature is higher than 28 degrees, reaching a maximum of 31 degrees. Due to climate change and global warming, Taiwan’s corals have become the first victims.
