Alania National Park is located on the North slope of the Central Caucasus, in the Republic of North Ossetia - Alania.
This is an alpine national park. The minimum height of its territory is 1100 m above sea level, the maximum is 4646 m.
The fauna of the national park is very rich. There are 34 species of mammals noted here, of which the most interesting are those living in the highlands - the East Caucasian tur and chamois.
